ADVISORY BOARD
Dr. Ricardo Ernst is a professor at the McDonough School of Business,
Georgetown University and co-director of its Global Logistics Research Program.
His contributions have appeared in prestigious journals, including Management
Science, Interfaces, European Journal of Operational Research Society,
International Journal of Operations & Production Management. He is the
co-author of a book, Global Operations and Logistics (John Wiley and Sons
1998).
He has consulted with several national and international firms including
General Motors, CASE Corporation, Fairchild Industries, Fritz Companies,
Michelin and The World Bank. He is known in Europe for his collaboration with
the French train company SNCF, with whom he evaluated the logistics impact in
Europe of the channel tunnel's opening.
He holds a Civil Engineering degree from Universidad Catelica Andres Bello and
an MBA from the Instituto de Estudios Suuperiores de Adminstracion, both in
Venezuela. He received an M.A. and Ph.D. in operations management from the
Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Kuldeep Kumar is Professor and Ryder Eminent Scholar in Decision
Sciences and Information at Florida International University's College of
Business Administration. He is also the Professor of Information Systems at the
Rotterdam School of Management, Faculty of Business Erasmus University, in the
Netherlands.
Currently, Dr. Kumar serves on the executive committee for the International
Conference on Information Systems and on the editorial boards for Information
Systems Journal, Journal of Information Technology, Journal of Global IT, and
Vision: The Indian Journal of Management.
His research has been published in journals such as MIS Quarterly,
Communications of the ACM, IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering,
Information Systems, Economia and Management, and Informatie.
He received his B.S. in Aeronautical Engineering from Indian Institute of
Technology in Kanpur, an MBA in Information Systems from McMaster University at
Ontario, Canada and a Ph.D. in Management Science and Information Systems from
McMaster University at Hamilton, Canada.
Dr. Hau L. Lee is Kleiner Perkins Mayfield, Sequoia Capital professor of
the department of management science and engineering and professor of
operations, information and technology at the Graduate School of Business at
Stanford University. He is the founding and current director of the Stanford
Global Supply Chain Management Forum at Eindhoven University.
Dr. Lee's research has been supported by the National Science Foundation,
National Institute of Health, Ford Motor Company, Hewlett-Packard Company,
Sloan Foundation, AT&T Foundation, Lucent Technologies, Andersen
Consulting, Intuit, KPMG, Intel Corporation, and the State of California. He
has published widely in journals such as Harvard Business Review, Sloan
Management Review, Supply Chain Management Review, and IIE Transactions, to
name a few.
Dr. Lee received his B.S. from Hong Kong University, M.S. from the London
School of Economics and Ph.D. in Operations Research from the Wharton School,
University of Pennsylvania.
